Weapons, Armor & Equipment

The Sidereus LARP allows players to use both the more traditional "boffer" style weapons and Latex weapons during the game. Although we allow both types of weapons to be used, generally it is our opinion that Latex weapons tend to be safer.

The Sidereus game authorizes the use of Latex weapons from a limited number of manufacturers, and all weapons must be validated before a player may enter the game. Entering any Sidereus game without having your weapon validated is a serious infraction that will be punished as harshly as possible.

The Latex weapon brands Sidereus has approved are generally easier to care for than many of the brands that have been available in the past. Overall, they can be a worthwhile investment.

Latex shields are also available for the player who is able to afford the higher cost. If you can't afford to spend the more substantial amount of money on your weapons, armor and equipment, there are many more cost-effective options to help you have an extremely attractive and battle-ready set of gear in no time.
