Hello fellow LARPers,

We're really sorry about Sidereus' Event being canceled.  Hassles with campsites are a bitch, and hopefully things will get smoother in the fall when the kiddies are out the summer camps.  There is some saving grace though, you can still earn credit on your Sidereus PCs this weekend, if you wish, you just need to come NPC for Requiem.  In return, Requiem has sent, and will continue to send NPCs to help you guys out on your events.  Requiem's 1-day event is from 9am-midnight, on Saturday July 31, 2010, and is located conveniently in Worcester, MA.  (directions here)  Being an affiliate of Sidereus means that you can earn points on your Sidereus character for coming to NPC our game.  If you are interested, or have any questions, feel free to email me, josh@requiemlarp.com and I will promptly respond!

Thanks for reading, hope to see some of you there!

I will be giving double HERO Points to those of you who attend, and a bonus 2 month duration magic item.

I'm very interested. Would I need to bring any costuming/weapons etc? I'm new to non-sidereus so I'm not sure what the expectations would be.

Kris, I'm also quite interested and will probably be doing this on Saturday.  From what I read on the Requiem website, I believe that any costuming and weapons (latex are welcome!) you can bring would be appreciated.  You'll want to read over the rules, too--check out the other thread in this forum for links to the website.

Hope to see you there!

As was stated, If you have your own costuming or weapons (yes, we allow latex as well) feel free to bring them, and they are well appreciated, as we are still getting on our feet, costuming wise, but if you do not have them, that is OK too.

Anyone that knows they are coming, and has any requests for a type of role they like (RP, high combat etc) will be seriously considered, if you email me ahead of time, so I can prepare something for you.

I'm hunger. I'm thirst. Where I bite, I hold till I die, and even after death they must cut out my mouthful from my enemy's body and bury it with me. I can fast a hundred years and not die. I can lie a hundred nights on the ice and not freeze. I can drink a river of blood and not burst. Show me your enemies.

Chris and I will be going. I think if you were going to go to Sidereus this weekend you should go and help out.
Who doesn't want to fight a hoard of epic Sidereus goblins?

It was great to have you guys this weekend.  I thoroughly enjoyed the event, and I look forward to making it back to Sidereus ASAP.
