What an action-packed event!  I didn't even stray too far from the tavern, so I can only imagine what the more adventurous PCs had to face.  Here are the memories I will reflect fondly upon:

- Playing songs with my fellow bards.  We did superbly, especially considering this event was our first rehearsal.  I look forward to continuing to entertain you all in the future, with more tunes, more dancing, and who knows, maybe more musicians? There's always room in our merry company!

- Getting plenty of use out of Persona skills and Satyr's Song.  I can only imagine what some of you were really thinking every time I asked if "any cared for a rousing song to lift the spirits," but you all made me feel quite welcome to play my heart out.

- After singing a ballad to restore Ogden the Harvester to good health, I soon became worried that I had made a serious mistake.  The only hero left with the power to return a spirit to its body was fast asleep, while poor Justice Kincaid lay dead on the ground, his soul dissipating further with every second!  I was relieved when a solution was found, and a creative one at that:  Seth Darkborn temporarily assumed control of Justice as his undead minion, until Ogden could be roused.  A marvelous display of effective teamwork, despite the enormous disparity between our abilities.  Luckily for Justice, I believe he has no memory of his time as a zombie.

- Silly songs in the Vulgar Gargoyle late at night, as our heroes took a much-needed rest.  I was running on no sleep and had quite exhausted my repertoire of songs by then, so I had to pull from deep within where the songs I sung in Kindergarten were buried.  Chelle, make sure every one of your students learns "There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly" for just such an occasion!

- And finally, the least-expected post-event ache ever?  Sore fingertips.

Thank you all for a brilliant event!  I'll see you at the next one!

The only bad thing about yesterday's event was my failure to teach anyone florentine, two weapons, etc.  I had a good streak going there, but it finally came to an end.  At least I got to teach Foe Hunter instead....

* The minstrels.  Toren, Ria and Elewyn (Keefe, Molly and Kate, respectively) did a great job in bringing some period music to the event and I'm hopeful that their first performance is just the beginning of their career in Sidereus!

* Harry.  That guy can switch from an agreeable ranger PC to the overpowered bastard everyone loves to hate so easily, it's kind of unnatural.

* Orion, being one of many who were subjected to the "go berserk whenever you hear the word 'lightning'" suggestion, began attacking me furiously while I was seated on a bench outside the tavern.  Since he's a low-HP necromancer, I was able to drop him without standing up.  In retrospect, maybe I was too casual about the whole exercise....

* Attacking Cainith while I was being dominated by Aoth (Mentally.  MENTALLY.) and seeing his semi-agonized reluctance when he realized he was going to have to attack me.  Five seconds later, he had dropped me with an eviscerate and performed a killing blow.  That's paladins for you.

* Having actual green mist (in the form of smoke bombs) instead of having to roleplay seeing it.  Moreover, Neal told me this was a low budget event.  I guess I'm looking forward to seeing Tesla coils and/or Van de Graaff generators to represent actual lightning at future events!

What a great event, Thank you all for being incredibly awesome!
And we're off!

-Kris Lozeau being a commoner who was racist towards Derew, and would not leave the big bad monster alone.
-Getting to just hang around in the woods, and actually having a reason for it.
-Figuring out the "Kit" rules... Fucking awesome. Need I say more?
-Toren of Lorehaven a friends, you guys were awesome. And you didn't give up either. Nice work!
-Green smoke bombs.
-Getting to perform first-aid on Darius silver and then covering him with a blanket, to keep him hidden from zombies. Then being saved by him from eternal torment of demons. Love roleplaying with you man, till next time.
-Ogden the Harvester. Between scrying and having his eyes explode, or trying to convince a confused ranger were he is. Ryan is a excellent roleplayer and we should all try to follow in his example.
I love playing with all of you guys, Its always a pleasure. Keep up the good work! Grin

First off I want to say thank you to Neal.  He's gone through a lot recently and yet he's still sane enough to run the best game I've ever played.
---
I often read the event favorite threads to get sense of how successful the events were overall, although I rarely post on them because I feel it comes off as somewhat contrived seeing as how closely I've been associated with the game.  (maybe thats just me... oh well).  Still, I wanted to say thank you to Molly, Kate and Keefe for bringing some *amazing* music into the game.  I've said it before and I'll say it again, I don't think there is anything that could set the atmosphere more perfectly.  Keep coming back!  Maybe next time I'll bring my mandolin.

It was an odd feeling playing an initiate/lackey for the Circle of the Silent Blade (this being the merc. organization I was a founding member of at our old NERO chapter).  A lot of fun though and it makes me happy that it's now another detail that only makes the world of Sidereus even deeper.

- The green mist. I loved it. Especially for the final battle with heroes on one side and Aoth and his undead on the other. "We ready for this?" "Yeah. Let's go" as we 6-8 heroes marched into the mist to face the evil felt very...well...heroic.

- Harry Bouchard's ability to go from the complete evil end of the spectrum as Aoth to a more level headed and valorous character rapidly. It is one thing for someone to be good at playing extremes - that's easy. Harry, on the other hand, was able to jump from the extreme of Aoth to the more difficult RP jump of his new PC, which does not exhibit extreme behaviors. It is a hard jump from the deep end to the middle.

- The music, the musicians. What immersion. Thank you all.

- The real life rain storm that the scry invoked.

- Having Ogden feeling like a good guy with Justice and Darius. He's definitely run laps around his moral compass.

- The Justice / Flynn / Ogden dynamic. Hillarious.

- Chatting with Neal after closing ceremonies and having my excitement in the game be refreshed.

Attacking a guy with bloodlust with a sword that swings body will do things like that.  He had no choice.  But he felt bad about it.

-Paladins 3.  It was great to see the good gods (seemingly) finally take an active role in things and step in on behalf of their champions.  After a year of feeling like the only gods that cared were the evil ones, it was extremely refreshing, and awesome being the recipient of it.  Also having Champion of Light finally kick into full swing was really cool, and has opened some really exciting promises for the future.

-Looking around at the gathered PCs during logistics, and realizing that our healing was limited to three paladins and Ogden, and that our ability to bring people back from the dead was just Cainith's CoL one-use ability.  Thankfully, Shane decided to make Justice a Champion of Light as well.  I have never, even at the Legacy event, felt that apprehensive about our odds of survival.  Kudos to Ogden for his overtime healing.

-Our musicians.  It was a great element to the event, and it was incredibly amusing how the music persisted even when holds were called.  You guys were great!

-I'll be honest, I was perplexed when I saw that Keefe was playing Toren instead of Ivar at this event.  I kept thinking how rough of an event it would be for Toren, and wondering how much he would be able to help.  As it turned out, especially with our almost non-existent healing, Toren might have been the most valuable PC there!  Awesome job dude!

-Harry.  Just awesome job across the board.  It's almost disappointing to have finally beaten Aoth, as he had become such an iconic adversary.

Heyall, sorry for the lateness of reply here, but I've got some favorites to post.  I'll say one thing that was totally NOT my favorite thing about the quest day, though, and that was the temperature.  Dayamn!  But now the good stuff:

-The minstrels had to be my absolute favorite thing about the event.  Having coherent music in the tavern helped set the scene like nothing else.

-Though we were small in numbers for the quest day, it made for an interesting player dynamic.  As people have already mentioned, healing became more of a valuable resource.  It was certainly exciting.

-Chucking daggers at baddies with Adam and John.  That's always a good time, I only regret that I hadn't brought my own into game to add to the ammunition.

-Gambling in the tavern--I haven't had the chance to play dice in a while, and gambling actually went in my favor considerably more than last event.

-Attempting to wake up sleepy paladins.  Shane was a good sport after having water tossed on his face.

-Fighting the NPCs one on one--a lot of the time.  That's one of the benefits of having a low PC count, battles are more balanced in number.  Thanks to NPCs for giving us a high action quest day!

Great time, as always, I'm looking forward to the next time our heroes meet for high adventure.

I just want to say, (because I thought of it today at work) that Keefe really filled the role perfectly. I loved when the zombies attacks earlier in the day and he threatened them with his accordion. As he stepped closer and closer to the creature and warned that he would attack with his music, a very weird, yet comical sound, came from the instrument and I could stop laughing. Great job guys.
