BLOODLINE OF WATER (Bloodline)
You are descended from an extraplanar being from the Elemental Plane of Water. You have been deeply touched by the elemental heritage running through your blood and it has granted you otherworldly abilities and an affinity to the element of Water.

Prerequisite: Must be chosen at 1st Level, Makeup Requirements
Benefit: This Trait is considered always in effect and cannot be deactivated.
A Bloodline of Water means your character is descended from a being or beings from the Elemental Plane of Water; this has a number of roleplaying implications.
A Bloodline of Water grants you the following characteristics;

  • Resist Element (Water): The character may resist spells and effects with the Water subtype three times a day.
  • Elemental Heritage: The character gains the Immune to Disease Trait, but loses the ability to cast spells or use abilities with the Fire subtype. In addition, the character gains the Vulnerable (Fire) Flaw and therefore takes double damage from Fire spells and effects.

A character with a Bloodline of Water should represent it to some degree. The easiest and most common way to represent this is with a birthmark or tattoo that represents the element of Water. However, this can also be done by assuming one of the following makeup alterations; blue-green hair, oddly colored green eyes (contacts), webbed hands and feet, birthmarks in the shape of waves, skin tinted deep blue or other options as approved by a Game Master. Additionally characters with a Bloodline of Water are very often moody and emotional.

What is a Trait?: Traits are special features that either give your character a new ability or help to enhance one that he or she already has. Unlike a Skill, Traits are not learned; they are representative of things that are part of your character on an innate and sometimes inherited level.

Traits cost Character Points just like Attributes and Skills. In order to add a Trait to your character, you must first be sure that your character meets the prerequisites. If your character does, then simply pay the Character Point cost and add the Trait to your character’s list of abilities.

You may select up to three Traits at character creation, however no more than one of these Traits may be a Bloodline Trait.
